About Coach Hoover

Justin Hoover - certified and experienced volleyball coach and player.

Justin currently is the Head Coach for the College of Alameda, Piedmont High School Varsity Beach Volleyball team, as well as coaches women’s indoors volleyball teams for Piedmont High School. He is a Head Coach for Golden Bear Club and coaches with the Red Rock Beach program.

Born and raised in the Bay Area., his high school team were CIF Champions in 1998 and were CIF Finalists in 1999. He also played four years of club volleyball with Golden Bear and The Academy competing at the national level. After high school, Justin attended Colgate University where he played D-I varsity ice hockey and club volleyball. He played for Colgate University’s club volleyball team competing against D-3 schools across NY State. Justin also played in France with the University of Dijon during his study abroad. Hoover continues to compete in the CBVA in men’s doubles beach volleyball and is an avid martial artist and yoga practitioner.
